Screen Share Instructions

  1. Download OBS Studio: (click here for 64-bit Windows 8.1/10/11 installer)
  2. Install normally.
  3. Choose the third usage option (virtual camera only)
  4. OBS Studio should now open.
  5. In the lower left pane (second to left), you should see the "Sources" pane.
  6. Add a source, and choose "Display Capture"
  7. At the right hand side of the screen, click "Start Virtual Camera"
  8. OBS Studio is now streaming your screen share as a virtual camera!
  9. In Chrome, go to Settings -> Advanced -> Camera. Then, change the camera from your current default to "OBS Virtual Camera"
  10. Refresh the conferencing webpage. You should now be able to stream your desktop screenshare in lieu of your camera.

You can share EITHER your real camera or the virtual camera (screen share). If you really want to share both, you'll need to join the conference twice with different video sources.

NOTE: If screen sharing does not work fully in Chrome (e.g. you can see local video but others cannot see your screen share), use Firefox as we have found that to work better.
